- I think you have a good point. What is really needed is a method that returns
- the index of a specific object (i.e. GetItemNumber(anObj)) and one that returns
- the index of an object that is "equal to" (but possibly a different object)
- some object. We'll do that.

- On the problem of skipping over an ancestral method, casting the object to
- another class doesn't solve the problem.
